We have starting working on the 2020 ball hockey season.
My first order of business was acquiring a new "registrar". I am happy to welcome Dana Ardiel to our executive. She is very ambitious and I know she will do a wonderful job.
I want to welcome back Catherine McGrath as our Treasurer and Secretary. She will send most of the emails next season so they wont be as long as mine..lol
As our league grows bigger each year I am finding that I need more help to continue to run this league so smooth and successful. I am still looking for a person to act as the "Sponsorship coordinator. This position will involve tracking down both TEAM sponsors and "Player of the Game" sponsors. Most of these are currently in place and just need to be contacted for the season. I will meet with anyone interested in this position to explain them details.
We are hoping to expand our league this season to 6 Tyke & 6 Novice teams. We are also planing to have the Peewees play on Monday nights as well as our normal Atoms on Tuesday, Tykes on Wednesday and Novice on Thursday. This will depend on A) if the old arena stays open B) if we get enough players in all the divisions.
We have expanded the peewee age group to three years for this upcoming 2020 season to allow ALL the major peewees from last season that are now minor bantams to play in the expanded peewee division.
We are still looking for referees and timekeepers for next season. Also sponsors both TEAM and "Player of the Game" If interested please contact me.
