We want to welcome you to our 2020 PMBHL season.
We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season.
Registrations are starting to come in. We also have four TEAM sponsors for the 2020 season. Two are returning and two are new sponsors. We have our new "Sponsorship coordinator" Carol O'Brien looking after this for the upcoming season. Any one interested in sponsoring either as TEAM Sponsors or as "Player of the Game" please contact Carol. Contact information can be found on the CONTACT page.
Our new Registration format will be easier for everyone this season. Dana Ardiel will be looking after that.
We already have two coachs ask for teams.
Catherine McGrath will return as Treasurer and secretary
We will be moving to the new arena this season.
The tykes, novice and atoms will play on the same nights and times as last year. The peewees are still undecided but we are going to extend the age one year. So ALL peewees that played last year can play again this year. Check the age grouping on the registration form.
Please fill out the survey and send it back. This way we can continue to improve this league and make it even better.
Please register early this year. There WILL be a cut off date of March 13th. After that the rate goes up. I will be ordering jerseys on March 14th so I need to know the amount of jerseys to order.
As you probably all know by now. We the PMBHL won the bid at the AGM to host the 2020 OBHA Tyke & Novice Provincials.
It will be at the Evinrude and Kinsmen on July 3,4,5 2020
Its a huge event so we are preparing for it now. We expect close to 40 teams. Maybe if we get six teams this season we will be able to enter two teams in each age group.
We are putting a "Provincial Tournament Committee" together.
I am happy and proud to say that Brian Tisdale has volunteered to be the Chairman of the committee.
Brian comes to us with tons of experience and connections.
Brian started coaching in 1971 in Scarborough with the MTHL. He moved to Peterborough in 1978 where he continued to coach everything from House League to AAA. He coached and was GM of the Bobcaygeon Cougars for three years.
Brian coached both Midget A & Seniors A in the PGHA.
